Well we've got one fun weekend behind us and another one to come this weekend!!
Last weekend Aaron and I went to visit his sister in STL. Friday night we went out to the movie and watched The Last Exorcism then headed off to a restaurant with some awesome drinks specials called 54. It was a load of fun sharing about 10 appetizers among 6 people :)
Saturday was a day filled with mall hoping! We went shopping at three different malls and surprisingly didn't every dime we had!!! Sat night we ate in at Aaron's sisters and hung out chit chatting the rest of the evening.
Sunday we got up and went to Cahokia Mounds. It's basically a bunch of mounds of dirt that were created by the Indians many many moons ago.. crazy tidbit - they built them all by hauling mud up in baskets on their backs.. freaky tidbit - most of the mounds were used as mass graves!!!! After that adventure we made our way to the St. Louis Science Center and then went to Forest Park where we checked out the Art Museum!
It was an all around great weekend!
The weekend ahead will also be a great one (if it stops raining!) because the good ol' Maries County Fair has come to town :) Thursday (tonight) there was going to be Demolition Derby but i didn't make it out because I'm feeling a little under the weather but it's supposed to be nice and toasty and the sun is supposed to be a shining for tomorrow the truck and tractor pull and Saturday for the parade and riding rides with Layla!!! Sunday i have an opportunity to hit up a winery with some of the future fam and then Aaron and I have another shopping extravaganza planned for Monday!! Yippee :)
