Here's a special Halloween Movie Review for my favorite time of the year!!
The Omen (**** stars)– It’s about a young marries couple that after years of trying have conceived a baby! While the mother is giving birth to her child it died and the man knew his wife would be devastated…one of the doctors in the hospital tells the man of a baby who’s mother had died giving birth and to avoid upsetting the new mother he took the baby and raised it as their own…not telling his wife anything! When the boys turns the rightful age of 6 he starts to change and becomes more distant and weird. The mother notices it and soon suspects the boy is trying to kill her! The father remembers the weird circumstances that allowed him to have this baby boy in the first place and when things get weird he sets out to find out just where this boy had came from. While the mother is at home she hires a nanny to take of her boy b/c she no longer wants anything to do with him…things keep getting weirder weirder until the the truth is found!! Great movie the newest one is better then the older but I like both of them J
Pet Sematary (***+ stars)– This movie is about a family that moves to a new town so the father can perform medicine! There is a very dangerous road that they live next to where there are constant diesels drive by at high speeds at all hour of the day and night. Because of this dangerous road many pets have been killed by the fast moving trucks. And because of all the deaths of every ones pets there is a cemetery very close to the newcomers home and a little path that leads right up to it! Their neighbor is a very kind gentleman and decides to show them around, show them the ropes, and show them the cemetery! A few weeks after the family move in it is thanksgiving so the wife, 8 year old daughter, and 2 year old son head up to her families house for the holiday and the husband stay home using the excuse her family doesn’t like him all that much anyway! While the wife and kids are away the little girl’s cat is hit on the road and died. Well the neighbor Judd tells him another secret about pet cemetery. Judd and the father go to a secret place on top of the hill behind pet cemetery where the father is instructed to bury the cat and wait till the next day. The man is very surprised to see the cat the next day and walks over to pet it and it’s very angry and hostile…to speed things up the family comes home and they are all having a picnic outside and the little boy get close to the road! The rest I’ll leave up to you to figure out.
The Strangers (**** stars)- The movie starts out showing the end of the movie..sometimes good sometimes bad. In this case it’s ok because it adds a twist at the end that it didn’t show in the beginning! There’s a young couple that are in a town for the weekend for a wedding and decide to stay at a family summer home. It’s starts off with the couple not getting along and you find out why just a couple minutes into the movie what’s up. Then they are “making up” (you know what I mean) and they hear a knock at the door, the catch is, it’s 4 in the morning. They go to the door and it’s a teen girl asking for a certain friend, and they tell her that’s no one is there but them. Well it takes some persistence to prove that no one else is home and girl leaves. The young man then decides he will go to town for his girlfriend to get some cigs…leaving her by herself! Well the teen girl comes back knocking on the door and asking for the same person she had asked for the first time. This leads into strange noises outside, loud bangs on the house, and faces in the windows! The young man returns to his girlfriend horrified and crying. She tells him of the strange noises and is determined someone is in the house with them because her cell phone was thrown into the fire! The banging continues until the people making the noises shows their faces…only they have masks on! The rest of the movie is the young couple trying to stay alive while facing “the strangers” that are trying to kill them!
Children of the Corn (**+ stars)- This movie starts out with a married couple that is traveling through Nebraska. They are arguing about the man not knowing where he was going and too stubborn to look at the map himself. While they are feuding a little boy had run out into the road and they hit him! The man jumps out to see if the boy is dead and it seems the boy was already near death before they hit him..he had been stabbed! So the couple put him their truck, not wanting to just leave him there. They then continue on to the town of Gatlin to find the police. When they get to the town they find something worse… there are kids everywhere trying to catch and kill them. With a little help of a small brother and sister they keep fighting back against the children of the corn and he who walks behind the corn!
A a newbie for ya..
Saw V (***+ stars) - this movie picks up where the last one left off and don't ask me what the last one was about!!! all i know is they all go together some how someway and each movie takes you back to the other in a strange way that makes you go "Ohhhh" The movie starts off with a man in a table strapped down everywhere except for his hands. The guys wakes up and the tapes starts to play...The man had evidently killed someone and didn't have to go to prison but about 3 years. The "Jigsaw" told him that if he would place the things that killed in the machine to be broken to pieces the pendulum with the blade at the end would stop swinging and not kill him! The man sticks his hands in and they are broken but guess what....the blade doesn't stop and the man is killed!!
...is this really the work of Jigsaw?!
