Yay! it's friday...i never thought it would be here. there is one problem with fridays though...I HAVE TO WORK SATURDAY! grrrrr


so last night my mom, my dad, and i made a much needed trip to rolla to get shelves for me (to organize my closet) and a number of healthy food items. my dad and i are both on a health kick so we go through the "good" food fast...although i've noticed "bad" food doesn't last long either...

back to my rolla trip.. as we made out way to rolla we were hammered with a hail storm..the second one in 2 days. i don't think it really hurt the car but the fact that my dad started driving faster when the hail started to hit sure couldn't have helped! our first stop was lowe's so i could get shelves..during our rather calm discussion on which boards would work better a lady came over the intercom. normally this isn't an out of the ordinary things but she proceeded to tell everyone in the store that we needed to seek shelter in the middle of the warehouse, away from all doors and windows, because rolla had a tornado warning and the sirens were going off. everyone in the store slowly made their way to center and we just stood there looking at each other wondering what the other was buying! we had some entertainment though..a young couple were making the best of the situation and picking out light fixtures (the center of the store is where the light fixture are...doesn't really make sense to stand under them in a tornado but who am i?) so as we all stood there watching the couple pick out the nice chandelier that would hang above there dining room table...we snuck off to finish our shopping. and ya know what? we didn't get blown away i got some pretty neat shelves that plan to hang up tonight after i get off work!


after our lowe's experience we went to wal-mart to look for healthy food, pick up my contacts and find some pretty baskets to set on my nice new shelves...no luck with the baskets. but we did find alot of new and exciting healthy foods...my new fav is the peanut butter mini delights! they are awesome...i had been hooked on the cinnamon struessel ones but these knock em outta the running! my mom and i had a silly conversation on our way back to the car that went like this:

mom: Kara you better get outta the way or that car is gonna knock your butt off

me: good! maybe it'll do it for me (then i won't have to work out anymore)


so our trip to rolla turned out to be more exciting than we had planned but i hope my weekend has a little more Oommph to it!

tonight i plan in hanging my shelves and organizing my closets. i have two small ones and my scrap booking supplies is scattered through them both. so i hope to have it all together so i don't have to run back and forth while trying to scrapbook (but then again that's extra calories burned! j/k).

tomorrow i have to work till 12 and then i have NO plans for the rest of the day.
I was invited to "a night of mayhem" saturday night at the bar in town, by Dana. i love to get invited to things...i feel so special! so i may go there..


sunday i don;t have any plans either. i don't know if it's a good thing or bad. i love to have plans so that i can keep goin and going...that's my style. but then again i like to be totally open for any new plans that may arise, like napping all day long. that's new and exciting right?
