You know that feeling you get sometimes when you just know something is wrong.. something if wrong with you but you can't quite put your finger on it. That sense of a hyper chondriac sweeping over your... i do!
That little feeling had been creeping up on me for a few months now.. and it hit head on this past monday.
Grave's Disease.. sounds kind of harsh right? I mean, the thought of a disease causing the need for a grave is the first thing that pops into my head!!
Well it's not as bad as it sounds..
What Is Graves' Disease?
First described by Sir Robert Graves in the early 19th century, Graves' disease is one of the most common of all thyroid problems. It is also the leading cause of hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland produces excessive hormones. Once the disorder has been correctly diagnosed, it is quite easy to treat. In some cases, Graves' disease goes into remission or disappears completely after several months or years. Left untreated, however, it can lead to serious complications -- even death. Although the symptoms can cause discomfort, Graves' disease generally has no long-term adverse health consequences if the patient receives prompt and proper medical care.
I have it.. simple as that! I am going to be taking pills for the rest of my life to sure this "disease." When i'm telling someone about taking the pills for the rest of my life it seems as if life would go on and on.. yet when we talk of having diseases, it seems life won't be long enough.. crazy
So this and another reasons (Such as the twilight books) have been the reasoning for my lack of posts.. hopefully i'll be back soon!
